At Green Oasis School (GOS), we welcome applicants from all students regardless of nationality andbackground.Toensureweenrollthebestoftheavailablecandidates,wehaveintroducedaselectionprocessforinterview.
城市綠洲學校歡迎來自不同國家和背景的學生。為了確保我們招收到最好的候選人，以下是面試的選拔程序。
Beforebeingconsideredforadmissioninterviews,allapplicantsmust:
在篩選面試的候選人前，所有人必須：
· havesubmittedallofthepaperwork
· 已提交所有紙質資料
· beapplyingforthecorrectacademicyeargroup· 申請正確的年級
Whenselectingcandidatesforinterview,prioritywillbegiventoapplicants:
在選擇面試候選人時，會優先考慮：
· withsiblingsalreadyattheschool
· 有兄弟姐妹在學校
· according to their level of English on the admissions form – this will be further assessed attestingbyaGOSteacherorawrittenassessment
· 根據他們在入學申請表上的英語水平—這將會被城市綠洲學校的老師進一步評估或接受書面評估

Once selected for admissions testing, the applicant’s further progress will depend upon his/herperformanceinanindependentassessmentprocessinformedbyteacherobservations一旦被選中參加入學考試，申請人的進展將取決于他/她在教師觀察報告中獨立評估的表現。
Fortesting,allapplicants:
對于測試，所有候選人：
· needtopresentthemselveswithidentificationinatimelymanner.

The assessment process
評估過程
InKS1childrenareassessedinaguidedplaysituationwithteachersevaluating,amongothersthings,theapplicantslevelofspokenandwrittenEnglish.Strongapplicantswilldemonstratemost,ifnotall,ofthefollowing:
KS1 的孩子在老師指導的游戲環境下接受英語口語和書面的評估。較強的候選人將會表現出眾，如果不是，則關注：
· socializewell
· 社交能力強
· arecaringandempathetic
· 富有同情心和同理心
· playwithothers,sharingequipment
· 與他人玩耍并分享教具、玩具
· canfollowinstructionsinEnglish
· 可以理解英文的指令
· canrespondverballyinEnglish
· 可以用英語口頭回復
· areabletowritetheirnameandotherwords
· 可以書寫自己的名字和其他字詞
· haveaninterestinandunderstandingofnumbers· 理解數字和對其有興趣
Candidates who demonstrate some or all of these will also be considered depending upon the number ofvacancies.

InKS2,candidateswillsitanassessmentinMaths,readingandwriting.Goodcandidateswill:
在 KS2，候選人將在數學、閱讀和寫作方面接受評估。優秀的候選人應當：
· Behavewell

· havestrongcalculationskillsandattemptwordproblems· 有較強的計算能力和能夠解決應用題

· complete the written assessment showing a command of the written language that iscomparablewiththeyeargroupappliedfor
· 完成書面測試，顯示出與所申請的年級相匹配的書面語言能力Thesecandidateswillbeinvitedforanoralinterview.
候選人將被邀請參加口語面試
InKS3andKS4,candidateswillsitawrittenexaminMathematicsandEnglish(Year10studentswillalso be assessed in Science). Before proceeding to oral interview, applicants need to attain 60% ormoreontheEnglishpaper.
在 KS3 和 KS4，候選人將參加數學和英語的書面考試（10 年級學生要參加科學考試）。參加口語面試前，候選人的英語書面考試必須達到或高于 60 分。
FollowingthewrittenassessmentsforKS2‐4,applicationswillbeevaluatedandselectionwillbemadefororalinterviews.
KS2‐4 的書面測試結束后，候選人將被評估和篩選，并進行口語面試。
At oralinterview,applicantswill speakwith theHead ofPrimary orSecondary (depending upon thesectionbeingapplied for).Thiswillbeaninformalconversationdesigned todeterminewhether thelevelofspokenEnglishisofacomparablelevelwiththeotherstudentsintheyeargroup.
在面試時，候選人將會與小學主任或中學主任面談（取決于申請的年級）。這是一個非正式的對話，旨在確定英語口語是否與其他相同年級學生的水平一致。
Theywillbeexpectedto:

Strongcandidateswill

· askquestionsoftheinterviewertodeveloptheconversationfurther· 詢問面試官的問題，進一步發展對話
· beconfidentinspeakingwithanadult
· 與成年人交談時表現出自信
· bepoliteandrespectfulwiththecommentstheymake· 對他們所做的評論要有禮貌和尊重
At the same time as the oral interview, candidates parents will be invited for interview with thePrincipalandVicePrincipal.Therewillbeawiderangingconversationfocusingonthechildwhichwillfocuson:
