吉米校長十月十日國旗下講話

      Good morning!
      同學(xué)們早上好！

      This last month has been a great time at Shuren Ribet Private School! We have welcomed new students and teachers to our community and built a strong foundation for the school year.
Throughout our programs, students and teachers have come together to build our community stronger.
      大家在北京市私立樹人•瑞貝學(xué)校度過了多彩的一個月！歡迎新學(xué)生與新老師來到我們的校園里，共同為新的學(xué)年打好堅實的基礎(chǔ)。在樹人校園里，學(xué)生與教師共同為學(xué)校的明天付出努力。

      To laugh and to learn together, and learn about responsibility.
      我們一同歡笑，互相學(xué)習(xí)，了解責(zé)任的意義。

      Responsibility is important in teaching accountability and ownership for mistakes as well as achievements. There are many ways that we achieve greatness. Through hard work, dedication, and focus. This month, each of us should have taken time to think about our goals and what we want to accomplish. The start of a school year is a great time to really think about what we can achieve.
      學(xué)會承擔(dān)責(zé)任、接納成功與失敗是責(zé)任里重要的兩部分。我們可以通過許多方式來取得成功，努力學(xué)習(xí)，辛勤奉獻，專心致志。這個月里，我們每一個人應(yīng)當(dāng)花時間去思考我們的目標(biāo)以及我們希望取得怎樣的成績。一個學(xué)年的開始之際是仔細思考行動目標(biāo)的大好時機。

      Responsibility  is not only about doing what is right and taking care of what is needed,  it is about responsibility to each other, the country and the world we live in. I have seen many examples of personal responsibility this last month.
      責(zé)任不僅僅在于做正確的事、關(guān)心需要幫助的人，還需要對世界、對國家、對我們每一個人負責(zé)。在過去的一個月里我看到了許多個人責(zé)任的例子。

      I have seen responsibility  in the last Flag Raising Ceremony the mentoring opportunities within the primary with the older students and younger students grouping together to teach, to learn and grow together.
      我在上一次升旗儀式中發(fā)現(xiàn)樹人小學(xué)部高年級學(xué)生幫助低年級的同學(xué)們學(xué)習(xí)、成長，共同取得進步。責(zé)任感在這里得到了體現(xiàn)。

      I have seen students in the Middle School and Primary serving as leaders. Standing and greeting visitors, students and teachers. Making sure everyone feels welcome in our school. Witnessed all students taking the time to  say hello to visitors and teachers.
      我看到樹人初中部和小學(xué)部的同學(xué)們承擔(dān)起領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者的職責(zé)，立正向訪客、家長、學(xué)生與教師問好，讓校園內(nèi)的每一個人感到溫暖。我看到所有的學(xué)生們都會向?qū)W校教師、訪客說“您好”。

      I have seen students in the International Primary serve as leaders, to help the younger students learn how to use arts and crafts materials, to encourage correct behavior in the hallways, and take responsibility for each other.
      我看到小學(xué)國際班的學(xué)生承擔(dān)起自己的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)角色，幫助低年級的學(xué)生掌握如何使用手工課材料，鼓勵同學(xué)們在走廊里要保持行為端正，并為每一個人負起責(zé)任。

      I have seen students helping each other to understand the school work and to build each other’s strengths.
      我看到同學(xué)們之間在學(xué)習(xí)上互相幫助，發(fā)揮彼此的長處。

      I have seen students help each other when someone is hurt, or not feeling well. To comfort each other when they are sad, or need a friend.
我看到當(dāng)有人受傷或身體不適時同學(xué)們會向其伸出援手。當(dāng)有人感到傷心難過，或需要朋友時，同學(xué)們也會去安撫他們的心靈。

      I have seen students doing the right thing, even if no one is watching, and leading a life of integrity and honesty. Students working hard over the holiday break to continue their education through their homework, and completing it to the best of their ability. To push themselves, because they know that they are responsible for their future and their education.
      我看到同學(xué)們即使在無人監(jiān)督的情況下仍堅持做正確的事，秉持著正義、誠實的人生觀念。同學(xué)們在假期中認真完成作業(yè)，繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)，保持進步，因為大家知道我們要對自己的未來與學(xué)業(yè)負責(zé)。

      Yesterday I watched students learn the importance of safety and how to protect themselves incase of a fire or incident.
      昨天我看到學(xué)生們了解到安全的重要性，以及如何在火災(zāi)及其它危急情況下保護自身的安全。

      Being responsible, means we recognize all of these skills. To be hardworking, to help ourselves and each other achieve greatness, to be honest, to be mentors.  These are all things I have seen in our great community that I feel honored to live and work in.
      責(zé)任意味著我們要掌握以下能力，努力，幫助自己與他人變得較優(yōu)，誠實，樂于助人。這些是我在樹人學(xué)校的校園中看到的品質(zhì)，我為此感到驕傲。

      This month we will continue our journey towards personal and social responsibility. We will focus on mentoring opportunities and celebrate Halloween together at the end of the month and have multiple opportunities to build our own accountability for our future.
      在十月里我們會繼續(xù)在個人責(zé)任及社會責(zé)任上進行學(xué)習(xí)。我們會注重學(xué)生互助活動，在月底我們會共同慶祝萬圣節(jié)，同時還有更多的機會去提高我們對自己的未來的責(zé)任心

      Martin Luther King Jr said “The time is always right to do what is right” So, lets make sure we do what is right, everyday.
      馬丁•路德•金曾說過“做正確的事情，永遠都不會太晚。”所以，讓我們在每一天里一起做正確的事情吧。
